Old Memes will come back from Nostalgia
Over the course of the New Tens, people will become nostalgic of things from each medium TV, Video Games, Comics and so on. What people tend not to consider is that the Internet itself is a new media. It has things that unique to it, such as webcomics, memes, webseries, etc. And though these things may have originated in another medium, they work vastly different on the internet.
Because of that, people who have been using it since the 00's will be soon feeling nostalgic about older topics of this time. From All Your Base to Sonichu, all these events will probably be used again. The internet may also soon the see the return of Youtube Poops (satirical videos where one edits it for comedic effect) and maybe old flash movies from this age. Then there will probably be new memes based on the old media that people will be replaying out of nostalgia.
Webcomics will definitely see a nostalgia during The New Tens. It may bring back older styles such as sprite comics through a more contemporary lense. Meaning that it, like other nostalgic ages being remembered, will come back but with contemporary elements. Such a thing has happened many times before, but I will save that for another article.

But memes effects will be felt past the internet. There will likely be a rise in movies dealing with internet activism with a of heroic atmosphere similar to (not completely like) the war movies that previous generations had. This however will be felt on a significantly smaller magnitude. But it will be essential in the media of The New Tens.
There will be "classics" beginning to appear on the internet, much like in other mediums. There will be classic webcomics, classic videos and classic internet figures. But the last case will be in the history books in some manner. Websites like Encyclopedia Dramatica and what they have done will be accepted as an aspect of history. Maybe not high school history books quite yet, but perhaps, College subjects will revolve around them. Particularly psychology.
